Sara Milchgrub, M.D., is board certified in Anatomic Pathology by The American Board of Pathology. Dr. Milchgrub practiced for over 20 years at the Department of Pathology, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, where she attained the title of Professor of Pathology.
Dr. Milchgrub has co-authored three books, as well as 50 peer review articles, with a focus on gynecologic and general surgical pathology. She has served as the Chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee of Parkland Memorial Hospital and was the Chairperson of the Surgical Case Review Committee at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Milchgrub completed residency training at Yale University and was the Chief Resident in Anatomic Pathology at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, MD, and Columbia University’s affiliated Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Milchgrub was the Deputy Director of Pathology at Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel, from 2011-2012.
Dr. Milchgrub has been a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology for over 25 years.
Matthew Karpowicz, D.O., received his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004 and completed his residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology in New York at Albert Einstein College of Medicine & Montefiore Medical Center in 2008.
Dr. Karpowicz moved to Texas where he completed Surgical Pathology, as well as Head and Neck Pathology fellowships at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He served as a pathology faculty member at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for 8 years, where he specialized in obstetrics/gynecologic, head and neck and genitourinary pathology, and also served as the Head and Neck Fellowship Director until joining Arbor Diagnostics in 2018.
Dr. Karpowicz is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, College of American Pathology and Texas Medical Association.
Jamie Everett, M.D. is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by The American Board of Pathology. She graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from The Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Everett undertook and completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Weill Cornell Medical College and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, serving as chief resident. She also completed fellowship training in Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Prior to joining Medical Pathology Associates, Dr. Everett was an Assistant Professor of Pathology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and has authored several publications in gastrointestinal pathology.
Michael Swaby, M.D. is board certified in Dermatopathology by The American Board of Dermatology and The American Board of Pathology and in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by The American Board of Pathology. He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine and completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and fellowship training in Dermatopathology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Prior to joining Medical Pathology Associates, Dr. Swaby was an Assistant Professor of Pathology and the Medical Director of Dermatopathology for the Department of Pathology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and has authored several publications in dermatopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, and surgical pathology.

Angela Smith joined Arbor Diagnostics, Inc. December 2018. She brings 25 years of expert industry acumen in: Healthcare Systems, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Academic Research, and Commercial Laboratories.
Prior to joining Arbor, Angela worked at Atrium HealthCare System as the Director of Operations – Anatomic Pathology. She has a Master’s Degree in Management, with a concentration in business.
Angela has also trained and served as a CAP inspector, throughout her career.

Doug Olson has more than 25 years of hands on leadership experience in healthcare IT and laboratory operations. Doug is an extremely analytical and driven expert in IT strategies which improve quality, maintain HIPAA compliance, and enhance operations. He excels at application development, interface design, vendor management, project management, and operational workflow improvement.
Doug also held senior leadership positions at Avero Diagnostics, Caris Life Sciences, EDS, InformDx / AmeriPath, Nichols Management Group, and LabCorp.
VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES
Brittany joined Arbor in January, 2020. Throughout her career, she’s worked closely with physicians from various specialties, to optimize the delivery of patient care. Positions have been held in Account Management, Sales, Marketing, Training, and Leadership roles.
While she thrives in launching new product offerings and enhancing lab testing menus, Brittany primarily remains focused on elevating the provider and patient experiences. Mrs. Dodd earned her graduate degree (MBA) from Texas Woman’s University in 2016, following a business degree from Abilene Christian University in 2003.
LABORATORY OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Jane Ciurca, MLS (ASCP) previously worked at Medical City North Hills for 2 years as a Laboratory Supervisor. Prior to that, she worked at UTSW Clements University Hospital as the supervisor of the Microbiology department for 9 years. During that time at UTSW, she helped moved the laboratory from St. Paul Hospital to the new Clements University Hospital.
Jane obtained her B.S. in Microbiology and Medical Laboratory Science degree at the University of Iowa.
